\u200bAll the roofing (red metal was carried around to this area and hoisted up the back side.\u00a0 Jon stood on the middle platform, Bob and I lifted from down below, Jon and Charlie were on the roof receiving. I couldn’t get a picture of us in action as we were lifting “shit”.<\/p>\n

\u200bThat’s Charlie on the left and Tom on the right.\u00a0 You can see how the new roof lines match the “living room” area. \u00a0 They had to shovel off snow two days earlier to enable a dry roof to work with.\u00a0 All the material under the metal roofing is a nicely sealed tar type material.<\/p>\n

\u200bThat’s Tom on a ladder.\u00a0 There is an open porch area now in the area just outside the kitchen, really nice spot for rain\/snow protection.<\/p>\n

\u200bThat’s the area underneath. \u00a0 They had to bring up a propane heater to help dry out the roof above.<\/p>\n

That’s the kitchen now. \u00a0There will be a wood ceiling above that matches the living room ceiling. \u00a0 Walls will be hand textured and painted to look nicely old and “cabiney”. \u00a0 A gorgeous hardwood floor will be installed this upcoming weekend. All the walls and ceiling have been insulated and it has a wonderful warm feeling now (even this time of year)!<\/p>\n

\u200bThat’s looking the other direction. \u00a0There is an outside door now just past where that trash can is sitting.\u00a0 It is a wonderful way to access the bridge area.\u00a0 The empty spot above the trash can will be a fixed window. \u00a0 Same type window on the opposite side (look at previous picture).<\/p>\n

Jon has been reworking all the wiring. \u00a0 It was a rather scary mess! \u00a0 You will love it now.<\/div>\n

We are getting close to when no further work can be done, mostly because it is really cold up there. It was nicely warm in LaVeta but really cold at the cabin<\/span>, mostly because the sun does not get in that canyon very well in the winter months!<\/div>\n

We have cabinets, plumbing, and lots of other steps to go. \u00a0 Thanks goes to Gary, Janet, and JoAnn for pushing forward on this and to Tom Berry who is a magician!<\/div>\n
