Jon and another electrician showed up and made substantial progress on the electric, most everything except light fixtures done.  We drained all the lines, plumbing is now down for the rest of the winter.  All the food is now gone also.   Jon and his friend are going to take on the plumbing, possibly tackling it this next weekend. If they do, they’ll test it out and then shut it down again.  They may also finish up any remaining electrical work. Everything looks great: shelves under sink cabinet, all the upper shelves, trim work, etc.  We cleaned out a huge amount more of stuff so finally whittling down to a manageable amount of crap there.

Cabinets in living room have been removed and shelving installed.  The old lanterns are there (like they used to be).

A shelf was added to the kitchen above the cabinets.

Comments on the progress:

JoAnn: Thanks for all your help on the cabin.  You were a real big help and the project would have never made it without you.

Bear:  Is it OK if I come look inside the window

Stream Fish:  Did you just dump Grandpa Giuseppe’s old wine in the water?  Really….I live here…please don’t do that again?

Pack Rat:  Which one of you butt heads tore out my house that was embedded in the roof?  I had easy access to your stuff…now I have to work a lot harder to get inside.  I’m with Mr. Fish on this…you all need to take us (maybe just me) into consideration when doing improvements.

Yes we did dump that bottle of wine in the stream. Janet sang prayers (kinda) in Latin or something strange. We did keep the jug and the A &W rootbear cap and put it up on the shelves. I am not sure if anything the packrat said is true, he is a real rat and can’t be trusted.
